Inkpad is the neighborhood alley cat that adopted us about the time we started our business. One day while watching her antics in the yard, Dave commented that the dark brown on the bottom of her paws made it look like she walked across an ink pad. That did it... he named her and she took that as a signal that we were her humans (a.k.a. servants to her beck and call).
Inkpad would follow us on walks around the neighborhood, but she would wait by the busy street to the store until we came back. She could dart up a tree as quickly as she could curl up into a purring ball on your lap.
You may see her patrolling the property, watching the world go by from the front porch, or snuggled up in her bed near the heat register.
