Flat Panel frames were popular in the late Victorian into the 1920's as an affordable option. By applying veneer in Oak and other woods over the top of cheaper plywood a beautiful frame could be made at great discount. They were left simple, painted dark or sometimes embellished with gesso flowers or decorations and painted gold.
Our Flat Panel reproduction frames are custom made in our press to match your art with wood veneer over high quality Baltic birch plywood and cut out with a jigsaw with square, round or any shape corners you would like. By choosing the right veneer and finish we can design a special Heirloom Frame that will enhance the art for generations to come.
